Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe all scored for Tottenham as they beat Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Tottenham stay 5th with a game in hand and put pressure on Chelsea and Newcastle. Fulham go down to 16th.
Wolverhampton Wanderers 3 Wigan Athletic 1
Midfielders Jamie O'Hara, David Edwards and Stephen Ward all scored as 17th placed Wolves beat bottom placed Wigan at Molieneux. Ben Watson missed a penalty for Wigan but scored in the same minute but in the end it was a consolation goal. Jamie O'Hara broke the deadlock for Wolves in the 31st minute and Ben Watson scored after he missed a penalty to level for Wigan just before half-time. David Edwards make it 2-1 in the 55th minute and Stephen Ward sealed all three points for Wolves in the 66th who move up into 13th place in the table.
Bolton Wanderers 5 Stoke City 0
Bolton stay 18th in the table despite a 5-0 thrashing of tired and fatigued Stoke. Captain Kevin Davies scored the first goal of the match in the 2nd minute. Midfielder Chris Eagles scored to make it 2-0 to Bolton in the 24th minute. Striker Ivan Klasnic scored to make it 3-0 to the home side in the 61st minute. Eagles scored his second of the match in the 73rd minute. Ivan Klasnic also scored his second of the game to make it 5-0 to Bolton 8 minutes from the full-time whistle.
