Hello and welcome to my EPL Super Sunday LIVE Coverage, with 3 matches on show for all you football fans:

Arsenal vs Liverpool, Man Utd vs Southampton and Newcastle vs Aston Villa.

I will have more about this later... anyways:

Yesterday, there were 6 matches in the EPL including West Ham vs Fulham and Manchester City vs QPR.

Due to reasons 'undisclosed' (see, sounds cool!), I had to stop coverage at 3pm.

Here is an analysis update with the 5 matches that I missed coverage of:

15:00pm matches:

Swansea City 2 Sunderland 2

This match was played at The Liberty Stadium as Swansea looked to continue their unbeaten run against a Sunderland side who did not play last weekend due to a waterlogged pitch.  

Swansea unveiled their new record signing, Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez before the match:

Swansea full-back Neil Taylor was involved in a incident in the 16th minute, after a challenge with Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner near the touchline. 

Damage done: Taylor and Gardner clash near the toucline, before Taylor feels the VERY painful effects.

Treatment: Neil Taylor had to recieve medical attention for 5 minutes, before getting stretchered off the pitch.

He fell awkwardly, and ended up breaking his ankle and dislocating three bones in his ankle. 

Out of action: Swansea's full-back Neil Taylor will miss the rest of the 2012-13 season due to his injuries.

£12million Sunderland signing Steven Fletcher scored his first goal for his EPL debut for Sunderland (remember, he played for Wolves) in the 40th minute.

Swansea winger Wayne Routledge equalised in the 45+1st minute, before Fletcher scored again just before half-time in the 45+7th minute (all this stoppage time because of the Taylor injury).

In the 66th minute, midfielder Michu equalised for Swansea after a header past goalkeeper Simon Mignolet from a free-kick.

4th goal in 3 matches: Swansea midfielder Michu is proving to be a real bargain for The Swans at £2million pounds.

This was how the match ended: 2-2 with both teams earning a point.

West Bromwich Albion 2 Everton 0

This match was played at The Hawthorns, were West Brom were looking to beat the other side of Merseyside, after beating Liverpool 3-0 on the opening day of the season. 

Goals by striker Shane Long and defender Gareth McAuley ended Everton's 11-game unbeaten run in the EPL.

Long scored from a low cross by substitute and striker Peter Odemwingie in the 65th minute, before defender McAuley scored a header from a Chris Brunt corner in the 83rd minute to end Everton's unbeaten 11-match run.

Tottenham Hotspur 1 Norwich City 1

The match was played at White Hart Lane as new Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas looked for his first win as Spurs boss after replacing Harry Redknapp who was sacked at the end of last season. 

£15million pound summer signing Moussa Dembele came off the bench to score on his debut for Tottenham with a great goal in the second half after 68 minutes.

He scored from just inside the 18-yard box which was unstoppable and flew into the bottom corner having skilled up a few Norwich defenders on the way.

Norwich midfielder Robert Snodgrass equalised for his side in the 85th minute with a volley inside the area after some good build-up play by Russell Martin and Grant Holt outside the box.

This was how the match finished: Tottenham held to another draw with AVB still looking for his first win as manager.

If this is the case in a couple of months (where he is struggling to win matches), the Tottenham board could lose patience and he would be out of the door like Redknapp....

AVB could be the first manager to be sacked, but it is still early days...
(I said this last season, when he was struggling to win matches at Chelsea and he got SACKED)



Wigan Athletic 2 Stoke City 2

This match was played at The DW Stadium as Wigan hosted a tough Stoke side who have yet to be beaten this season.

Wigan got the match up and running in the 5th minute after striker Shaun Maloney scored from the penalty spot after Stoke defender Robert Huth's hand hit the ball when Wigan took a shot inside the box.

Stoke's £5million signing Charlie Adam came on late in the first half because manager Tony Pulis wanted to make a 'tactical change'.

In the 39th minute, Stoke were awarded a penalty after Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa handled the ball while trying to tackle striker Peter Crouch inside the penalty area.

Striker Jonathan Walters equalised for The Potters from the penalty spot.

In the second half, Wigan regained the lead in the 49th minute, after Aroune Kone ran with the ball at his feet outside the 18-yard box, before playing a through ball to striker Franco Di Santo who shot the ball into the net from inside the penalty box.

Stoke striker Peter Crouch equalised in the 77th minute with a header from close range from a Walter's pass after Wigan failed to clear the ball away from a Stoke throw-in.

The match ended 2-2, with Stoke probably being the happier of the two sides after full-time.
Coming back from behind twice during the mach to draw.
If only they had scored one more goal...

Evening (17:30pm) match:

Manchester City 3 QPR 1

The Ethiad Stadium was were Manchester City hosted QPR.
Last season, this fixture was epic, with two 3-2 matches.
Yesteday, QPR gave City a scare but nothing too scary to beat the EPL defending champions.

Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin starts his first match for his loanee club and his debut.
Borini and Sterling are alongside Suarez in attack for The Reds.

Theo Walcott, Gervinho and Ramsey are all on the bench for Arsenal, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain starting for Arsenal.
First-team goalkeeper Wojciech Szceszny is still out of action with a bruised rib so Vito Mannone stays in between the sticks.

30: 30 minutes gone, and it has been fairly even up to this point between the two sides....

Arsenal are leading 1-0 thanks to midfielder Santi Cazorla dribbling through the Liverpool defence before passing a through ball towards striker Lukas Podolski who shot the ball from the wing underneath goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Midfielder Mikel Arteta and defender Per Mertesacker have both picked up yellow cards so far in the first half for Arsenal so they have to be careful.

35: Sterling runs down the wing, before getting tackled by Arsenal left-back Carl Jenkinson. 

40: Sterling runs into the box before getting tackled by defender Per Mertesacker with his (LONG LEGS) 

Liverpool are screaming for a penalty, but referee Howard Webb says play on.

45: The fourth official has signalled for two minutes of stoppage time to be added on at Anfield.

45+2: Howard Webb blows his whistle to signal the end of the first half at Anfield.

Arsenal lead by 1 goal to nil, but it could be more - or less.

New striker Lukas Podolski got his team off the mark in the 31st minute with a low an powerful strike past Pepe Reina, but Olivier Giroud could have made it 2-0 after a good pass was straight to him inside the box, but his shot was wide of the goal.

Liverpool's young winger Raheem Sterling hit the crossbar with an effort inside the box before half-time, but Liverpool trail.

45: The second half has statrted, with no substitutions from either side.

47: Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is given a yellow card for a late challenge from behind on Arsenal defensive midfielder Abou Diaby.

50: Liverpool passing the ball well as they try and look for the equaliser at home against Arsenal. 

51: Gerrard crosses the ball into the box for Luis Suarez... Suarez goes down after a tug and pull from defender Per Mertesacker.... 

The Liverpool players are crying out for aarezer penalty, but Howard Webb says that Suarez went down too easily and was looking for the penalty.

52: Arsenal go on the counter attack with Cazorla and Podolski linking up well to find full-back Kieran Gibbs who runs down the wing before having a shot low towards goal.... SAVED! by Pepe Reina.

53: Cameras show Liverpool winger Stewart Downing warming up, and gettign ready to come on...

Downing will add pace to the Liverpool side as they look for the equaliser and will deliver crosses if he gets the ball at his feet.

58: Liverpool are applying pressure to Arsenal, but the defence has stayed solid and not broken down.


60: Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is rolling on the floor in pain after a 50/50 challenge with Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen. 
He went down looking for the foul again, not good.


61: Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkisnon cuts inside the Liverpool half before unleashing a shot from 20 yards out.... PARRIED away by Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

That tells the story of the match so far, Liverpool have had chances, but not taken them.

63: Downing provides trouble for Arsenal inside the box, before a blcok from Vermaelen gives Liverpool a corner.

65: Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla as a shot from outside the box towards goal... JUST WIDE OF THE POST.

The shot was close by Santi Cazorla, and Arsenal could be 2-0 up by now.
Just need to kill the match off from an Arsenal perspective.

Liverpool need an equaliser, and quickly with less than 25 minutes to go.

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina parried the ball, but the shot was too powerful and the ball went straight past him.

70: Sky Sports cameras show two things:
1. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is limping with a knock.
2. Aaron Ramsey is warming up and getting ready to come on.

74: Liverpool passing the ball well and patiently inside the Arsenal half before a shot from Shelvey goes well wide of the goal.
15 minutes left in the match, and Liverpool are running out of ideas and time to get back into the match.

75: Gerrard gets stuck in with a late and high challenge on Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen. 

Vermaelen is limping, but I am sure that he will be alright.

80: Liverpool winger Stewart Downing has a shot which curls towards goal.... OVER THE BAR!!
It took a deflection, and it is a Liverpool corner.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger trying to close the match out perhaps..? Andre Santos is technically a attacking minded defender, who comes on for one of the goalscorers Podolski.

86: Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey finds space inside the Arsenal box before shooting towards goal... PARRIED away by Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone... the ball bounces towards a Liverpool player, and the ball is evenutally cleared away.

90: The fourth official has signalled for four minutes of stoppage time to be added on at Anfield.

90+1: Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has been given a yellow card from referee Howard Webb after a late tackle on Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey. 

90+3: Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina passes the ball to defender Martin Skrtel as the clock ticks down at Anfield...


90+3: Arsenal goal-kick.... 


90+4: Vito Mannone boots the ball down the pitch, as Howard Webb blows the whistle to end the match at Anfield.


Arsenal 2 Liverpool 0


New signings Santi Cazorla and Lukas Podolski were both on target for The Gunners, as Arsenal beat Liverpool comfortably by 2 goals to nil to move up to 7th place in the EPL table.
Liverpool had lots of chances throughout the match, but failed to score any goals.

28: Almost half an hour played at St Mary Stadium.

Southampton 1 Manchester United 1

Striker Rickie Lambert scored for the home side in the 17th minute with a header after he was unmarked thanks to full-back Rafael's error.

Early shock: Striker Rickie Lambert heads Southampton into the lead at St Mary's against Manchester United.

£24million signing Robin van Persie equalised for his new club in the 23rd minute with a sweet volley from the 16 yards box after chesting the ball down and controlling the ball.

2nd goal in 3 matches: 'The Flying Dutchman' volleys in United's equaliser in the 23rd minute.

LATEST:

Defender Ciaran Clark has scored for the visitors as Aston Villa lead at The Sports Direct Arena.

Close by Lallana and Southampton are giving United trouble here.


35: Rickie Lambert sees Manchester United defender Vidic and bodychecked him away from the ball while he is in mid-air.

Vidic is not happy with the challenge and is looking at referee Mike Dean for a free-kick, but the ref says play on.


39: Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia crosses the ball towards full-back Patrice Evra who heads the ball towards goal.... SAVED and parried away by goalkeeper Kelvin Davies.



42: Southampton looking to get the lead back at St. Mary's with lots of good passing, and giving defensive midfielder Michael Carrick trouble by running at him.


43: Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa passes a lofted ball up into Robin van Persie who controls the ball with his boot, but the ball goes out of play for a Southampton throw-in. 

Kagawa is great on and off the ball and is a great passer of the ball.
Amazing player.

Aston Villa lead against Newcastle after defender Ciaran Clark scored in the 22nd minute. 

Newcastle are pressing for an equaliser though with Cisse coming close in the last few minutes of the first half.

Southampton 2 Manchester United 3 

What a match at St Mary Stadium today.

Schneiderlin scored a header for Southampton in the 56th minute to give them the lead once again, before defender Jos Hooiveld fouled RVP inside the box to gift United a penalty in the 69th minute.

RVP took a cheeky chip for a penalty and the goalkeeper Kelvin Davies saved the penalty well. 

Manchester United pressed Southampton ever since, passing well and crossing balls into the box.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson made all 3 substitutions, taking Welbeck, Kagawa and Cleverley off for Hernandez, Nani and Scholes.

Meanwhile, Southampton continued to play well, looking dangerous on the counter attacks and kept splitting the Manchester United defence open with Lambert and Lallana both on show.

Manager Nigel Adkkins surprisngly took Lallana and Lambert off, and replace them with DEFENDERS with 15 minutes to go in the match.

This had an immediate effect, with Southampton in their own half for the rest of the half getting pressed hard by United.

In the 87th minute, defender Rio Ferdinand ad a powerful header hit the post before the ball bounced to Robin van Persie who clipped the ball into the net. 

United had equalised.

In the 90+1st minute, a United corner was whipped into the box by Nani for Robin an Persie who was unmarked.
Southampton paid the price, when RVP headered the ball over goalkeeper Kelvin Davies into the top corner.

Stoppage time winner: Robin Van Persie celebrates scoring his first hat-trick for his new club in the 91st minute.

Good value: Striker Robin Van Persie celebrates against Southampton in an important match for United.

United had won 3-2 against Southampton.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson had won his 1000th league match in charge of Manchester United, and United move up to 5th place in the table.
