Clubs are free to make transfer offers, discuss terms with players and sign players, up until the deadline day on August 31st.
Here are some of the transfer rumours, done deals and news updates over the past few days or so:
First, I will start with the confirmed deals that have been announced.
DONE DEAL:
Liverpool have announced the signing of Southampton creative midfielder Adam Lallana, who has joined the club after rumours were circulating at the end of the season that he was set to leave the club.
Confirmed: Lallana has sealed a move to Liverpool, where he will play CL football |
This is what Lallana had to say on the move:
"I'm so excited for the next chapter of my career, coming to a special club like Liverpool.
Last season, deep down, I was thinking: hopefully one day I'll be able to play in that team. That dream is a reality now."
I WILL have a summer signing review of Lallana in the upcoming weeks, where I analyse the move and break-down whether or not he will be a success at Liverpool.
Great campaign: Lallana was on top-form with Southampton this past season |
Hull have confirmed the signing of Norwich winger Robert Snodgrass on a three-year contract deal for an undisclosed fee, reportedly to be around £7million pounds.
He had this to say:
"This is the start of an exciting new chapter for me and for my family and I just can't wait to get started now.
Everything the club has done to get the deal completed has been unbelievable - having spoken to the owners and the manager, and seen the plans they have for this club, I was very keen to be a part of it all."
Snodgrass has joined Hull on a three-year deal, meaning that he WILL stay in the EPL. |
Livermore has also joined Hull, on a permanent basis after his successful loan spell |
Swansea have announced a deal to sign Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis, as his contract with the Ligue 1 team has expired.
Gomis becomes Swansea's second signing of the summer after Fabianski's arrival from Arsenal |
However, he rejected a contract extension and confirmed that he wanted to play in the Premier League, Swansea were the fastest to sign him and he is now a Swan!
Tottenham have already confirmed that they will NOT sell Argentinian winger Erik Lamela, who struggled in his first season at Spurs due to injury and a lack of playing time.
Spurs are desperate not to sell their £30m man, who signed from Roma in August 2013. |
DONE DEAL:
Manchester United left-back Alexander Buttner has confirmed that he has left the club to join Russian side Dinamo Moscow after a lack of playing time.

RUMOUR: According to reports in Germany, Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos is set to join Real Madrid for a reported transfer fee of around £30million pounds - with a 5-year contract deal set to be signed after the World Cup.
More to follow on this story as the deal continues, but at the moment neither club has confirmed anything, despite rumours that Kroos is set to leave.
CONTRACT SIGNED: Derby have confirmed that their highly-rated young teenager and creative midfielder Will Hughes as signed a new contract deal to stay at the Championship club until 2018.
Hughes has opted to stay at Derby for the time being, despite interest from big clubs |
Hughes has also appeared for the England youth team, and has a lot of potential to fulfill!
He has been regularly watched by scouts from Premier League clubs during the past two seasons with clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United admitting their interest in him.
This is what the Derby head coach Steve McClaren had to say about the deal:
"We're pleased that Will has decided to extend his contract with Derby County for the next four years. He is a promising young talent and we're looking forward to working with him over the next few years to help continue with his development."
DONE DEAL: Newcastle have officially completed the signing of Ajax captain and midfielder Siem De Jong for an undisclosed fee on a six-year contract deal.
Confirmed: De Jong has completed a move to Newcastle, their first signing of the season |
This is what De Jong had to say on his move to Tyneside:
"It is great to have signed for Newcastle. It is a big club which my brother (Luuk, who was on loan) told me all about, so I already feel good here.
I had been at Ajax a long time and wanted a new challenge in a new environment and a new country. Coming to Newcastle is a great opportunity and the chance to play for a club like this in the Premier League was one I could not turn down.
I am looking forward to starting training and meeting my new team-mates and hopefully we can have a successful season."
Meanwhile his new manager had this to say:
"We are absolutely overjoyed to bring Siem to the club because he will give us intelligence in the final third and create goalscoring situations, which we lacked towards the end of last season.
It is a big signing for this club, I think our fans are going to enjoy the way he plays and I cannot wait to start working with him."
DONE DEAL: Even though we knew that the transfer was announced back in May, it has finally been confirmed that Chelsea have signed Spanish striker Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid - for a transfer fee of £32million pounds.
Good signing? Chelsea have confirmed that Atletico striker Diego Costa is set to join them! |
NEWS UPDATE: Colombia and FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez has reportedly revealed to the media that he would "jump at the chance" to join Arsenal, the club he has supported ever since he was a child.
Interesting: Martinez has reportedly said that he would be open to a move to Arsenal |
Martinez has scored twice at this year's World Cup for Colombia, who play Brazil on Friday |
Done deal: Gauld has signed on a six-year contract deal with Sporting Lisbon |
Quick feet and close-control dribbling: Gauld has been impressive on show for Dundee United |
CONFIRMED: Life without Suarez for Liverpool could be a permanent reality, as Barcelona have announced that they have opened talks with the EPL club over the sale of their talisman striker Luis Suarez - who has disgraced himself and his country at this year's World Cup for a controversial BITE on Italy's Giorgio Chiellini.
Liverpool are set to sell their striker for a big money transfer fee, and reportedly want Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez as part of the deal.
Despite being involved in controversy, Suarez remains one of the best strikers in Europe |
Sanchez scored 3 goals in the World Cup with Chile, and Arsenal have made an initial £20m bid for him |
Controversy: Suarez's bite on Chiellini has been the major talking point in the World Cup |
Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has praised Suarez for issuing a public apology for his bite during the World Cup, with this quote:
"Suarez has shown that he is humble enough to admit an error, which is very important. The fact he has character and the strength to go in-front of everyone and say sorry says a lot about him as a person.
Everyone knows that Luis is an excellent player. He has shown a lot of quality with Uruguay and scored more than 30 goals (last season) with Liverpool, so he has the necessary quality to play for Barca."
REPORTS: Arsenal are on the verge of signing Newcastle right-back Mathieu Debuchy, according to reports in the French media.
Debuchy has been linked with a move away from Newcastle, having said that he wants to play in the Champions League - Arsenal are set to sign him according to reports. |
CONFIRMED: Southampton are ready to announce FC Twente midfielder Dusan Tadic as Ronald Koeman's first signing in charge of the Saints, after a transfer fee of £9million pounds was agreed between the two teams.
Tadic was one of the best players in Europe last season, a perfect replacement for Lallana? |
Solid midfielder: Tadic looks promising, he could be on his way to Southampton this summer |
