Bargain of the season:

Santi Cazorla - £15million from Malaga

| Fans favourite: Cazorla has not even played 1 year in England, and he is one of the best midifelders in the EPL. |
Under-rated. One of Arsene Wenger's best signings as manager. And that is just the half of it.
Cazorla is great at set-pieces, a pass and dribble master, has attacking flair and can score great goals from anywhere within 30 yards.
He makes a lot of assists and is a key midfielder for Arsenal's top 4 aspirations this season.
It is surprising that he does not even make the Spain first-team, but with the likes of Barcelona's midfield duo Iniesta and Xavi keeping him confined to the bench, it does not mean that he is not a great player.
Dimitar Berbatov - £5million from Manchester United

Lazy is he? Whether he is a "lazy player" or not, Berbatov has shown Manchester United what they are missing out on with his consistency in scoring goals despite all of the critisicms that he has taken over the years.
He has scored 7 goas this season in the EPL, and is Fulham's main goalscorer despite being "OTT" (older than thirty years old).
He is consistent, and knows how to get into attacking positions quickly before finishing chances nicely.
Michu - £2million from Rayo Vallecano

Swansea's talisman.. Michu. Who would have thought 6 months ago that a Spanish striker who was hardly known would be rivalling van Persie and Suarez for the Golden Boot?!
He has been clinical in-front of goal, and defences are scared of him. Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque has promised that he will play for Spain in their next match (a friendly against Uruguay) on the 6th of February.
I cannot say that he does not deserve it... I will love to see him in his national colours...
Hopefully he can stay injury-free throughout the rest of this season, and he can seal a place for Swansea in Europe next season.
Julio Cesar - free from Inter Milan

Even though he is currently injured, Julio Cesar has showed his class for QPR in his first half-season in London after moving on a free transfer from Italian side Inter.
He will be back in first-team action in the next week or so, and is crucial to QPR's challenge to stay in the EPL this season. He is an experienced goalkeeper, who has great reflexes and has made 13 appearances already.
Romelu Lukaku - loan from Chelsea

He was not getting played as much as he wanted to, and wanted to gain experience to play in the EPL.
West Brom have taken advantage of his talent, and he has excelled in strike while helping The Baggies move up into the top 8 of the table.
*Special mention has to go to striker Robin van Persie, who left Arsenal for Manchester United before scoring 16 goals (in the EPL alone) in his first half-season in Manchester.
Just not a bargain really. Just one of the best in the world.
Demba Ba's move to Chelsea was also a bargain, but his entry was too late as he moved in 2013, not 2012*

Sir Alex Ferguson - Manchester United

Sir Alex Ferguson surely has to be one of the best managers in the world. He has acheieved so much at his time with United, and was unlucky not to win the title last season.
He is a great tactical manager, who does not spend money for nothing, and United are odds on favourite to win the title now because of his key £24million signing of striker Robin van Persie this season.
United are one of two English clubs still in the Champions League, and he faces a tough test against defending Liga BBVA champions Real Madrid.
A win would prove that he is the best in the business - despite his age.
Roberto Mancini - Manchester City

Yes, he had a great side which cost a lot of money. But money does not always win you trophies.
That is the reason why he is on the shortlist for manager of the year. He may have failed to qualify for the Last 16 of the Champions League for the second year in a row, and missed out on the Europa League, but having Real Madrid, Dortmund and Ajax in your group is not easy.
It is actually very hard.
David Moyes - Everton

Moyes has been consistent over the past few seasons as Everton manager. Always getting a top 10 finish, without spending a lot of money on signings every season.
Everton have a great side with Baines, Fellaini and Mirallas just a few great players who Moyes has signed without spending a lot of money.
Everton just need to get a clinical goal-scorer in this transfer window, because the amount of draws that they have had this season is not good enough for a side that want to play in Europe every season.
Whoever Moyes signs, you know that it will be worthwhile.
Roberto Martinez - Wigan

I do not personally think that he will at Wigan for long - simply because he may get signed up by a top club in the next few years as long as he stays consistent.
Last season, Martinez saved Wigan again with a great run of results after beating both Arsenal and Manchester United in April.
Can he do it again? Wigan sit in 18th place with 18 points.
Alan Pardew - Newcastle

Newcastle moved into the Europa League for the first time in 6 years thanks to Alan Pardew's good managerial skills.
Defender Fabricio Coloccini, midfielders Jonas Gutierrez and Hatem Ben Arfa, not to mention striker Demba Ba all played vital roles in their qualificiation.

Luis Suarez - Liverpool

Apart from Mario Balotelli, he is always in the news whether it be controversy for hand-balls or racism allegations.
But on the field, he is one of the league's best strikers. He has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season already and has great attacking flair and skill to beat any team's defence.
Apart from van Persie, surely he has to be the best striker in the EPL?
Robin van Persie - Arsenal and Manchester United
van Persie started the year of by scoring 30 goals in the 2011-12 season, which means that he holds the record for the most amount of goals in a EPL season.

Vincent Kompany - Manchester City

He is strong and an agile player who can help with counter attacks, but also leads his team at the back when called upon.
Last season was his best, and he helped City win the EPL title for the first time in 44 years. If it was not for him, City would have struggled for sure.
Demba Ba - Newcastle and Chelsea
Demba Ba is one of the most under-rated strikers in the EPL. His attacking minded approach to football helps him score a LOT of goals, and he helped Newcastle qualify for the Europa League last season before impressing in the first half of this season, scoring 13 goals for The Toon.
He was so impressive that Chelsea have signed him for £7million pounds, and now he is replacing Torres as their main striker. He is almost always on-form in-front of goal, and a great bargain for £7million.
Gareth Bale - Tottenham Hotspur

There is a Real reason why Real Madrid want this electrifying winger.
He has excelled for Spurs since his move from Southampton back in 2007 and has the ability to play in defence, midfield or attack.
He is a utility player with bags of pace to show for it, and he is best on the wing, ripping full-backs and delivering cross for his team-mates to score.
He has already scored 11 goals this season, 1 goal of his personal best and he still has a lot of potential to fulfill.
*Special mentions goes to forwards Jermain Defoe and Michu.
23 goals between the two, they have to be two of the most under-rated clinical strikers in the EPL. By far.
