Easter Monday FA Cup 6th Round LIVE Commentary:

Hello and welcome to my latest blog post, where I have 2 EPL match reports.
Everton vs Stoke City was the evening kick-off match yesterday, while Aston Villa hosted Liverpool earlier this afternoon in the only match on Easter Sunday.

Also, I have LIVE Commentary of the FA Cup 6th Round Replay match between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Team Line-ups at Stamford Bridge:

Chelsea: Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Ba. Subs: Turnbull, Terry, Benayoun, Bertrand, Moses, Lampard, Torres

Manchester United: De Gea; Jones, Smalling, Ferdinand, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Nani, Hernandez, Welbeck.
Subs: Giggs, Lindegaard, Young, van Persie, Powell, Kagawa, Vermijl

Watch: Hernandez has scored 30 goals in 45 games for Mexico, and he has scored in his last 4 against Chelsea.

0: The referee blows his whistle, and the match has begun at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are the team to kick-off, as both sides look to progress through to the semi-finals.
The winner will play against Manchester City in a couple of weeks.

5: Chelsea are trying to get settled into this match, quickly before United get their momentum.

9: Good move by Chelsea. David Luiz switches the play on the wing with a long through ball over to full-back Cesar Azpilicueta. He weaves in and out of a United defender before passing the ball to Oscar whose cross into the box is too fast for Hazard to latch onto.

15: United free-kick after David Luiz collides with Welbeck and clashes with his ankle. Patient, slow build-up play by both teams as they try and find their rhythm in their game.

18: This referee is starting to annoy many fans. Not letting the game flow, with free-kicks and fouls galore in te opening 20 minutes.

21: Great move by United. Welbeck clears the ball out after Hazard and Mata press near the box, before using a burst of pace to get past full-back Ashley Cole near the touchline and playing a ball towads Nani, before he is dispossessed.

Ashley Cole looks to be in some discomfort now, and he is clutching his hamstring. Doesn't look good.

22: Chelsea SUB:
Ryan Bertrand ON

Ashley Cole (hamstring injury) OFF

Bad news for Cole and Chelsea, he has to be replaced now, and there will be a dip in experience at the back for the hosts.

26: CLOSE! Mexican striker Javier Hernandez does well to get past two Chelsea defenders before shaping to shoot towards goal, but he slips on the floor, and Chelsea clear the ball to safety.

30: CHANCE! Chelsea go on the counter attack, with Hazard beating his man Valencia with pace before sliding a ball into Demba Ba on the far side who has a placed effort towards goal, but Spainsh startlet goalkeeper David De Gea does well to parry with his legs.

33: Chelsea have a free-kick in a dangerous position, with David Luiz stepping up to take it.... OVER THE BAR!!!
He needs to keep his shots low if they are to test De Gea.

37: CHANCE! Manchester United winger Luis Nani uses his pace and awareness to get past 2 Chelsea defenders with skill before having a stinging shot curl towards goal.... JUST WIDE!
The effort had Cech scrambling over the line to ensure he did not score there.

38: CLOSE! Great chance by Chelsea, made by Eden Hazard. He picks up the ball on the wing before cutting inside the middle and playing a nice 1-2 with Oscar before having a placed effort sail over the bar.
Good work from the Belgian, he has been the star player for Chelsea today.

40: CHANCE! Manchester United are again deadly on the counter attack. David De Gea takes a big kick, and the ball flies straight to Javier Hernandez who chests the ball to control before moving into space and having a 25-yard effort spin towards goal. Petr Cech dived to his left and saved it with his legs in mid-air.

45: The fourth official has signalled for just the one minute of stoppage time to be added on at the end of the first-half.

45+1: The referee has blown his whistle to end the first-half at Stamford Bridge. Started slowly, but towards the end of the half the game has burst into action. Danny Welbeck, Eden Hazard, Javier Hernandez all having chances, but it is goal-less at the break.

13:32: The players are jogging out of the tunnel, getting ready for the start of the second half at Stamford Bridge.

45: The match has restarted at Stamford Bridge.

48: GOAL! It was coming, and the hosts have got it! Demba Ba scores his 2nd goal in 11 matches for Chelsea after a lofted ball was played in by playmaker Juan Mata for Ba who hooked his foot around the ball to hit it into the top corner of the net past De Gea.

54: Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley has been booked after a strong challenge on Ramires.
Tension is rising now, as well as the intensity of the game itself.
Maybe that will wake United up.

59: Chelsea full-back Ryan Bertrand is given the 2nd yellow card of the day after a un-needing tackle on Hernandez on the counter.

61: GREAT SAVE! Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez heads from close range after a cross by Danny Welbeck
Petr Cech tips the ball over the bar at full stretch, and somehow it is still 1-0 to Chelsea! Stunning save.

62: Manchester United SUB:
Robin van Persie ON
Tom Cleverley OFF

65: Manchester United SUB:
Ryan Giggs ON
Luis Nani OFF

Nani is replaced after having a less than average game. Apart from that one chance which went wide, Nani failed to perform.

68: CHANCE! Chelsea should have wrapped up the game there, with Hazard pouncing quickly on a sloppy Michael Carrick pass.
He ran into the box, before having a shot towards goal, but it was just wide of De Gea's post, and he should have hit the target there.

75: Cesar Azpilicueta is booked for a high tackle on Welbeck.

80: Last 10 tense minutes at Stamford Bridge, with neither team willing to give up without a fight. This will be interesting, that's for sure.

85: Mata and Oscar work together to create a lovely 1-2 move, with the latter having a shot towards goal, for it to go high and wide over the bar.

86: Demba Ba has a shot inside the box towards goal... PARRIED! by De Gea. Still 1-0 to Chelsea.
The referee Phil Dowd blows his whistle, for a foul. United free-kick, as Ba shoulder-barged Chris Smalling while he was trying to win the ball. The goal would not hae counted.

88: MISS! Robin van Persie misses a golden chance to equalise for United.
Ashley Young and Patrice Evra combine to deliver a ball into the box for the Dutchman, who smashes the ball over the bar from just 6 yards out.

89: Mata, Hazard and Oscar combine on the Chelsea counter, before Mata attempts with a clever shot towards goal, but De Gea spots it.

90: Chelsea SUB:
Victor Moses ON
Oscar OFF

4 minutes of stoppage time has been added on by the fourth offcial, and it's now "Fergie Time."

90+4: The referee Phil Dowd has blown his whistle to end the match at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea progress to play against 2nd placed Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final in two weeks on Sunday, with a spot in the FA Cup final up for grabs for one of these two teams.
Manchester United will feel disappointed that they did not get to the semi-final, especially because they should have sealed their place from the original 6th Round tie where they were 2-0 up but did not finish the job and allowed Chelsea to get back into the match.

Without further ado, here are the 2 EPL Match Reports:

Aston Villa 1 Liverpool 2
This match was played at Villa Park, as strugglers Aston Villa hosted tough test in the form of Liverpool.
FACT: This was the 176th meeting in league football between the two sides.
The hosts started the match off well with chances throughout the 1st half before Benteke broke the deadlock in the 31st minute with a half-volley after a controlled touch by team-mate and fellow forward Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Clinical: Christian Benteke breaks the deadlock for the hosts in the 31st minute with a sweet half-volley.

Red hot form: Benteke wheels away to celebrate his 14th EPL goal this season.

Suarez had chances of his own, but was denied several times by USA goalkeeper Brad Guzan.

Liverpool and England midfielder Jordan Henderson equalised in the 47th minute, after a great through ball by Brazilian playmaker Phillipe Coutinho was clinically finished with a finesse chip over Guzan's head into the net.

Equaliser: Jordan Henderson celebrates his equaliser against Aston Villa - quite passionately

The Reds were desperate to get the lead, with Suarez and Coutinho both having great chances but narrowly missing them.
UNTIL, in the 59th minute Luis Suarez weaved some magic and skill before winning a penalty after getting clipped on the ankle inside the box by young Aston Villa defender Nathan Baker.

Clipped: Suarez uses good footwork, before getting fouled on the edge of the area by Nathan Baker.

Captain Steven Gerrard scored from the spot to give Liverpool the 2-1 lead. Aston Villa felt hard done by, and pressed for the equaliser (notably Benteke and Agbonlahor)
The Belgian had two more chances to add to his goalscoring tally for the season, one was a great goal-line clearance by Steven Gerrard from a header, and he scored an offside goal in the last minute.

The Reds held on in the end for an important 2-1 away victory, which moves them closer to local rivals Everton in 6th.
