EPL Transfer Done Deals + Rumours #3

Hello again everyone, I apologise that I have not been publishing lately because of a lot of things including exams and me being busy, but I never not have time for my blog! :)
Anyways, swiftly onto the matter of football news, transfers and rumours, with a lot of done deals and rumours to tell you about that have occured over the past couple of days:

Norwich confirmed the signing of Birmingham City winger Nathan Redmond for around £3million pounds (such a gem, been watching him since 2010 and he is amazing!)


Everton's new manager Roberto Martinez has completed the signing of former employee and striker Arouna Kone from Wigan for around £6.5million pounds on a 3-year deal. 

 Ivorian striker Arouna Kone has re-joined former manager Roberto Martinez at Everton for a fee of £6.5m.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of young Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel for £8million pounds, while striker Nicolas Anelka has just joined his record 6th EPL club in West Brom on a two-year deal.

Defender Christopher Samba has re-joined Russian side Anzhi Makchakala for a club record fee of around £10million pounds after a poor 6 month return to the EPL with QPR.

Other done deals in the EPL:

Vito Mannone (from Arsenal) to Sunderland - undisclosed fee
Marko Marin (from Chelsea) to Sevilla - season-long loan
James Perch (from Newcastle) to Wigan - undisclosed fee

Martin Olsson (from Blackburn) to Norwich - undisclosed fee 
Paulinho (from Corinthians) to Tottenham Hotspur - £17million pounds  

Bargain buy: Wigan have completed the signing of Newcastle full-back James Perch for an undisclosed fee.

Powerhouse: Tottenham have signed Corinthians defensive midfielder for £17m to bolster their midfield.

Impressive: Paulinho's consistent displays at the Confederations Cup, and Spurs quickly signed him after the tournament.


Also, Arsenal are reportedly close to signing their second deal of the summer with £23million pound striker Gonzalo Higuain in London currently to talk about a possible 100k-a-week contract deal, yet the newspapers have been reporting this story for the past week and a half...


Aston Villa are ready to sell striker Darren Bent for around £5million pounds, with Newcastle, Fulham and Hull all ready to sign the former Tottenham player. 

Arsenal have reportedly had a £30million pound bid for Liverpool's talisman striker Luis Suarez as the Uruguayan wants to leave Merseyside this summer amid negative media reports.

Chelsea have had a second bid rejected for Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy thought to be around £7million pounds, and as a result have signed Mark Schwarzer from Fulham who was a free agent at the end of the season and joined The Blues on a free transfer.

Julian Draxler has admitted that he could be tempted to move abroad, however he has ruled out the possibility of leaving FC Schalke 04 this summer like his team-mate Lewis Holtby to England, where Arsenal are interested in his services. 

Swansea are expecting to finalise a £12million deal for Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony today or tomorrow, however the chairman Huw Jenkins has warned it may take a few days to complete the "formalities."

Newly promoted side Hull have agreed a £4.5million deal for Burnley striker Charlie Austin.

Tottenham Hotspur have offered FC Twente £6million pounds for Belgium winger Nacer Chadli, however the Dutch club want £7.75million for the youngster.

Southampton are very close to completing the £12.5million pound deal for Celtic powerhouse and defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama, who impressed many European clubs after his consistent performances in the UEFA Champions League last season.

Sunderland are making an £8.6million pound deal for Juventus winger Emanuele Giaccherini to bolster their attacking options for next season as their aim is to secure a top ten finish.

Norwich talisman Grant Holt has accepted an offer from Wigan Athletic after a £4million fee was agreed for the 32-year-old striker on the weekend. He has been a great player for the club, but failed to impress and live up to his full potential last season.

Holt has returned to the Championship after a good spell in the EPL, joining Wigan for £4m on a 3-year deal.

US and AZ Alkmaar striker Jozy Altidore has completed a £6million deal to join Sunderland, having agreed personal terms with the club. 

2nd spell: Jozy Altidore returns to England in a £6m deal to Sunderland after his poor spell at Hull as a teenager.

New Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has officially lead his first training session with his new club. 

Transition time: Manuel Pellegrini will be desperate to erase the poor form City showed last season.
 
Veteran winger Ryan Giggs has accepted a player-coach role at Manchester United, while former Everton defender Phil Neville (recently retired) has agreed to return back to his boyhood club United as part of the backroom staff..
