Capital One Cup 4th Round Results Part 2, plus 5th Round Draw:



Hello and welcome to part 2 of my Capital One Cup 4th Round Results along with the 5th Round Draw of the Last 8 teams left.


Wednesday's Cup Matches:

Chelsea 5 Manchester United 4

The Blues got their much wanted revenge after losing on Sunday to their EPL title rivals United by 3 goals to 2.

This match was dramatic throughout, with Manchester United and Chelsea both playing inexperienced squads as they both have important matches on Saturday.

Norwich City 2 Tottenham Hotspur 1

Norwich gave top-4 challengers Tottenham a shock in the 4th round of the Capital One Cup. 

An own goal from defender Jan Vertonghen and defender Simeon Jackson set them on their way into the quarter-finals after winger Gareth Bale broke the deadlock in the 66thn minute.

Midfielder Clint Dempsey failed to equalise for the away side in the last minute from the penalty spot.

Liverpool 1 Swansea City 3 

Swansea moved into the 5th Round of the Capital One Cup after a comfortable 3-1 win over Liverpool. 

Defender Chico Flores broke the deadlock after 34 minutes, before winger Nathan Dyer made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez made it 2-1 in the 77th minute afterr coming on as a substitute, but midfielder Jonathan De Guzman made it 3-1 and ended The Reds' hopes of winning in the 90th minute.

5th Round Draw: 

Swansea City vs Middlesbrough

Norwich City vs Aston Villa  

Bradford City vs Arsenal

Leeds United vs Chelsea

Ties to be played on the 12th and 13th of December. 

5 EPL teams still in the Capital One Cup, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Swansea are all expected to win with easy ties.

Aston Villa vs Norwich is an evenly matched tie, but Villa are slight favourites to progress to the semi-finals..
