Today's EPL Match Results and Analysis:



Hello, and welcome to my LATEST EPL blog post with 6 EPL matches today and 4 matches (LIVE Coverage) tomorrow.

Today's Early Afternoon Match:

Manchester City 3 Sunderland 0

This match was played at The Ethiad Stadium, as defending EPL champions Manchester City hosted 13th placed Sunderland.

The home side broke the deadlock within 5 minutes, with full-back Aleksandar Kolarov scoring a beautiful goal from a free-kick.

Substitute and striker Sergio Aguero made it 2-0 in the 60th minute, before defensive midfielder James Milner wrapped up all three points for City in the 89th minute to put the icing on a very round cake.


Super sub: Aguero comes off the bench to double City's lead on the hour mark.
Irreplaceable: Aguero celebrates, after NOT starting today after playing in midweek against Dortmund.

City move into 2nd place, 4 points off leaders Chelsea, while Sunderland stay in 13th place.


We are coming, Chelsea: Manchester City celebrate their 3-0 win at The Ethiad.

3pm kick-off's:

Chelsea 4 Norwich City 1

This match was played at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea hoped to keep their 100% unbeaten run going with an interesting match against 18th placed Norwich.

Striker Grant Holt broke the deadlock for the visitors surprisingly in the 11th minute.

If only you knew: Norwich celebrate their shock start with a goal in the 11th minute, but....


His opposite number Fernando Torres equalised for The Blues, three minutes later to make it 1-1.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard gave Chelsea the lead in the 22nd minute, before winger Eden Hazard made it 3-1 in the 31st minute.

Delivering as always: Lampard celebrates his 3rd goal of the season for Chelsea. 
Talent: Chelsea winger Eden Hazard makes it 3-1 in the 31st minute with a curled effort. 

Defender Branislav Ivanovic added insult to injury to Norwich, in the 76th minute to score his 3rd goal of the season (which is the highest for a defender so far this season) and to complete the thrashing 4-1.

Norwich are still in 18th place, while Chelsea add another three points to their title challenge, currently in 1st place.



FACT: Norwich have not won a match so far this season, along with QPR and Reading 

FACT: Norwich have been thrashed twice - in 2 matches. 

Liverpool 5 Norwich 2, Chelsea 4 Norwich 1

Swansea City 2 Reading 2

This match was played at The Liberty Stadium,  as Swansea hosted Reading.

Reading got off to the perfect start in the 31st minute, thanks to Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak scoring to make it 1-0.

Noel Hunt's header made it 2-0 to the away side in the 44th minute.


But, Michael Laudrup's side was not giving up there....


Bargain of the season midfielder Michu halved the deficit in the 71st minute, before winger Wayne Routledge equalised 7 minutes later to give Swansea a well-deserved point after a comeback.  


Swansea are now in 11th place, while Reading move out of the bottom three, and are now in 17th place level on points with Southampton and Norwich (who are below them).

West Brom 3 QPR 2

This match was played at The Hawthorns, as 6th placed West Brom hosted QPR. 

Midfielder James Morrison gave the hosts the lead in the 5th minute with a header.

Fellow midfielder and team-mate Zoltan Gera made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute, before QPR winger Adel Taarabt made it 2-1 in the 35th minute.

West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu made it 3-1 in yhr 85th minute, before QPR's new midfielder Esteban Granero pulled a goal back in the 90th minute.
It was however too late to salvage a point for QPR.
