Today's EPL Results and Tomorrow's EPL Previews:


Today's EPL Results:

Newcastle United 2 Everton 1
Newcastle continued their unbeaten run in the EPL this season with a home win against Everton. Defender John Heitinga scored an own goal to put Newcastle in front in the 12th minute. Defender Ryan Taylor put Newcastle 2-0 up in the 29th minute with an excellent strike from 21 yards out. Midfielder Jack Rodwell scored a goal in the 45th minute which seemed hope for The Toffees to get a point but in the end it was a consolation.
This means that Newcastle are 3rd and only a point behind Manchester United in 2nd but Everton are 16th with only 10 points from 10 matches.

Arsenal 3 West Bromwich Albion 0
Robin Van Persie scored his 13th goal of the EPL season against a weak West Brom side. Defender Thomas Vermaelen made it 2-0 in the 39th minute and midfielder Mikel Arteta ensured all three points for The Gunners fifteen minutes before full-time. Arsenal are currently 7th with 19 points and West Brom are 13th with an average of a point a game.


Aston Villa 3 Norwich City 2
Antony Pilkington scored first for Norwich in the 25th minute to make it 1-0 to The Canaries. Darren Bent equalised for Villa five minutes later. Gabriel Agbonlahor scored to make it 2-1 to the home side three minutes after half-time. Bent scored his second of the match in the 62nd minute to put Villa 3-1 up. Norwich striker Steve Morison made it 3-2 in the 77th minute to put Villa under presure put in the end Aston Villa claimed all three points at Villa Park. This means that Aston Villa move up higher than Norwich into 8th place with 15 points and Norwich have 13 points in 9th position.

Blackburn Rovers 0 Chelsea 1
This cagey affair came from Ewood Park where two out of form teams went head to head. Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard broke the deadlock with a diving header for The Blues eventually in the 51st minute. There were six yellow cards in the match and Chelsea edged out a 1-0 win. Chelsea stay 4th with 22 points and Blackburn stay in the bottom three with only six points from 11 matches.

Liverpool 0 Swansea City 0
This interesting encounter came from Anfield where Liverpool hosted Swansea. The match was a goalless draw where there were 4 yellow cards. Swansea took a point against 6th placed Liverpool. They will feel disappointed as they could have beaten a weak Swansea team and needed to put pressure on rivals Tottenham (who have two games in hand).
Swansea go 10th with 13 points.

Manchester United 1 Sunderland 0
Sir Alex Ferguson received a warm reception at Old Trafford- marking the 25th anniversary of his appointement at United in 1986. United looked dangerous all of the match and broke the deadlock just before half-time with former defender Wes Brown scoring an own goal from Nani's corner which was headed by Danny Welbeck and took a deflection into the net. Sunderland were denied a penalty in the 74th minute as Nemanja Vidic hit the ball with his hand. The assistant referee blew the whistle but overturned the penalty. The match ended 1-0 to United and stay 2nd with 26 points from 11 games. Sunderland are 14th in the table with 10 points.

QPR 2 Manchester City 3
The late kick-off was a entertaining end-to-end five goal thriller at Loftus Road.
Striker Jay Bothroyd broke the deadlock in the 26th minute from a header. Edin Dzeko scored his 10th goal of the EPL season to equalise for City in the 43rd minute. Playmaker David Silva placed the ball past the keeper to make it 2-1 in the 52nd minute. Heidar Helguson turned Jay Bothroyd's header into the goal past Joe Hart to equalise and make it 2-2 in the 69th minute. A cross which was headered by Bothroyd deflected by Helguson and swerved the direction of the ball past Joe Hart. Midfielder Yaya Toure scored the winning goal in the 74th minute from a powerful header into the bottom corner of the net. City stay 5 points clear at the top of table and QPR are 11th. Rangers will feel disappointed as they played very well from kick-off and could have won. City's defence was tested without captain Vincent Kompany and they struggled under pressure. They will feel lucky as they know they did not play at their very best.

BREAKING NEWS:
England and Chelsea defender John Terry is in the England squad to face Spain and Sweden. He is the subject of a police enquiry about racial remarks which were reportedly said in the 1-0 loss against QPR three weeks ago towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand. Fabio Capello says that he is going to be included.


Tomorrow's EPL Previews:

Tottenham Hotspur vs Fulham: LIVE from 16:00pm
This feisty encounter comes from White Hart Lane as two of the Europa League's participants go face to face. 5th placed Tottenham face Fulham who are in 15th place. Spurs are in form at the moment and could easily move up to 3rd place in the next two weeks. Tottenham defender William Gallas could make his first EPL appearance against Fulham tomorrow. Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric has a minor groin problem but should be fit. Striker Roman Pavluchenko will have a late fitness test as he had a back complaint during midweek. Defender Michael Dawson (Achilles),  midfielders Niko Kranjcar (thigh) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) are all out while there are doubts over striker Giovani dos Santos (calf), defender Vedran Corluka (foot), and midfielder Danny Rose (ankle). Fulham captain Danny Murphy is a slight doubt for the match. The midfielder had a knee complaint during  midweek. Striker Bryan Ruiz returns from being ineligble from the Europa League and midfielder Moussa Dembele returns from a one match suspension. Orlando Sa (hamstring), Philippe Senderos and Aaron Hughes (both thigh) are out for Fulham.

Bolton Wanderers vs Stoke City: LIVE from 15:00pm
This match comes from the Reebok Stadium as Bolton host Stoke.
Bolton defender Ricardo Gardner is serving a one-match ban after being sent off in last week's 3-1 defeat at Swansea. Manager Owen Coyle is without long-term injured Tyrone Mears, Lee Chung-yong, Stuart Holden, Sean Davis and Sam Ricketts, has no fresh concerns going into the game.
Defenders Ryan Shawcross and Marc Wilson picked up muscle injuries in the defeat by Newcastle on Monday while Matthew Etherington (back), Jermaine Pennant and Rory Delap were only fit enough for the bench.
Danny Higginbotham may play for Stoke on his return from seven months out with a cruciate ligament injury while Cameron Jerome and Jonathan Woodgate are back in the squad after missing the match against Tel Aviv through suspension and ineligibility respectively.
Stoke will expect to win against bottom three placed Bolton but they will be tired from Thursday's Europa League.


Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Wigan Athletic: LIVE from 13:30pm
This match comes from Molieneux as 17th placed Wolves host bottom club Wigan as two of the bottom five figjht for three points to get out of the danger zone.  
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is nmonitoring the fitness of midfielder Mohamed Diame for tomorrow's crucial trip to Wolves. They will be without captain Gary Caldwell, who serves a one-match suspension after picking up five bookings this season.
Wolves striker Steven Fletcher will have a late fitness test before the match. Fletcher has missed the last three games with a calf problem but returned to full training on Friday.
Wolves Mick McCarthy expects playmaker Jamie O'Hara (knee) and Stephen Hunt (back) to be fit after missing training during the early part of the week following the 3-1 defeat at Manchester City. Both teams will be looking for a win but Wolves may just edge it out with a 3-1 or 2-0 win.
