EPL Match Results and Review of Saturday's Games:

Saturday's EPL Match Results:

Liverpool 1 Manchester United 1
Steven Gerrard scored a 20 yard free-kick on his return to first-team football for Liverpool in the 68th minute to break the deadlock.
Javier Hernandez scored a late equaliser for United in the 81st minute to ensure a point for Sir Alex's men.
The talking point was Ferguson's tactical approach to the match putting Phil Jones in the heart of midfield and starting without Nani, Hernandez, Anderson and Rooney. Liverpool will feel hard done by as they did not take all of their chances on a weakened United team, dominated possession throughout the game and would feel disappointed by conceding the late goal. United are still unbeaten this season and have 20 points from 8 games.

Manchester City 4 Aston Villa 1
Mario Balotelli scored his forth goal in four consecutive matches as he broke the deadlock in the 28th minute from an overhead kick at the Ethiad Stadium. Adam Johnson got City's second less than 2 minutes after the restart. 5 minutes later, captain Vincent Kompany scored a powerful header inside the 16 yard box to make it 3-0. In the 65th minute, Stephen Warnock pulled one back for Aston Villa with a ferocious strike past Joe Hart. It proved to be a consolation as former Aston Villa midfielder James Milner scored with a beautiful strike past Shay Given to make it 4-1. Manchester City leapfrog rivals United into 1st place in the table. Notable absences for City were Silva, Aguero, Dzeko and Nasri and they played very well without them and could have scored 6 or 7 if they had taken their chances. Aston Villa lost their first game in the EPL this season and are currently 8th in the table.

Norwich City 3 Swansea City 1
Two of the promoted sides went head to head at Carrow Road. Anthony Pilkington scored in the 1st minute for Norwich and Russell Martin made it 2-0 inside 10 minutes. Swansea's record signing Danny Graham scored to make it 2-1 in the 12th minute. Anthony Pilkington then scored again in the 64th minute to make it 3-1 at home. Norwich City are now 9th in the table and Swansea City are 11th.

QPR 1 Blackburn Rovers 1
Heidar Helguson scored for Queens Park Rangers to make it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba scored for Balckburn in the 24th minute to make it 1-1 and it finished 1-1 at Loftus Road. QPR will feel disappointed as they lost their slender lead within 10 minutes of the match. In the end, the score was a fair result with both sides taking 1 point. QPR are currently 10th in the table with 9 points and Blackburn are last in the EPL with only 5 points from 8 games.

Stoke City 2 Fulham 0
This interesting match came from The Britannia as two of the Europa League teams. Tackles were flying in as there were 8 yellow card in the match and lots of chances. Stoke eventually broke the deadlock in the 80th minute due to Jonathan Walters' tap in from Etherington's shot inside the 16 yard box. Matthew Etherington crossed a ball into the box in the 86th minute and Rory Delap attacked the ball and beat Schwarzer. Fulham will feel gutted by conceding two goals in less than 10 minutes to full-time and Stoke will be extremely happy with their current form. Stoke are currently 7th with 12 points and Fulham are 12th with 7 points.

Wigan Athletic 1 Bolton Wanderers 3
This match came from the DW Stadium with two of the bottom three in the EPL. Defender Nigel Reo-Coker scored his first goal in over 3 years for Bolton in the 4th minute from a header to make it 1-0 to the away side. Mohammed Diame scored from 25 yards out in the 40th minute to equaliser for Wigan. New signing David N'Gog scored his first goal for Bolton to make it 2-1 to Bolton just before half time. Bolton were awarded a penalty in the 73th minute and Kevin Davies was denied by former team-mate Al Habsi with a good save. Eventually, in the 90th minute Chris Eagles scored to make it 3-1 to Bolton. Wigan Athetic are currently 19th with 5 points and Bolton are 17th with 6 points.

Chelsea 3 Everton 1
In the 31st minute at Stamford Bridge, Daniel Sturridge scored his 3rd goal in two games for Chelsea to make it 1-0. John Terry attacked Frank Lampard's free-kick and scored to make it 2-0 just before half-time. Ramires scored a 'poachers' goal in the 61st minute to make it 3-0 to Chelsea. Apostolos Vellios scored a consolation for Everton just 8 seconds after coming off the bench in the 81st minute. Chelsea will feel happy with their performance as they stay 3rd in the table with 19 points. Everton will feel very disappointed as they are 13th with 7 points from 7 games.
