Tuesday's UEFA Champions League Results, EPL News and Fixtures:


Group A:

Manchester City 2 Villareal 1
Sergio Aguero scored a late winner as City came back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 at The Ethiad Stadium.
Cani scored in the 3rd minute for Villareal to break the deadlock after Rossi's shot was parried straight to Cani.

Napoli 1 Bayern Munich 1
Tim Kroos scored in the 2nd minute to give Munich the lead in Italy. Then, in the 39th minute, Badstuber scored an own goal thus levelling the score at 1-1. In the 49th minute, Mario Gomez had a golden chance to put Munich back in the lead but he misssed a penalty. In the end, it ended 1-1 with both teams taking 1 point.

Group B:

CSKA Moscow 3 Trabzonspor 0
Doumbia scored twice as CSKA Moscow cruised to a 3-0 win at home. He scored and broke the deadlock in the 29th minute. Cauna then made it 2-0 up in 76th minute. Doumbia scored again 10 minutes later to ensure they got all 3 points.

Lille 0 Inter Milan 1
Pazzini scored the only goal of the game in the 21st minute for the away side in France.

Group C:

Basel 0 Benfica 2
Bruno Cesar scored for Benfica to make it 1-0 in the 20th minute. Oscar Cardozo make it 2-0 with 15 minutes left of the match and ensured that Benfica won their second game of the CL season. They are currently top with 7 points in front of Manchester United.

Otelul Galati 0 Manchester United 2
Wayne Rooney scored twice as United won due to two penalties. They struggled with a weak team who only lost as they conceded two penalties. Rooney scored his first penalty in the 64th minute. Nemanja Vidic got harshly sent off a minute later. Rooney then scored his last penalty in the last minute. United are currently second in their table with 5 points behind Benfica.

Group D:

Dinamo Zagreb 0 Ajax 2
Boerrigter scored in the 49th minute as Ajax won their first match of the CL this season. Christian Eriksen scored in the 90th minute to make it 2-0.

Real Madrid 4 Lyon 0
Real Madrid scored 4 times as they thrashed Lyon in Madrid. Karim Benzema scored the first goal of the match in the 19th minute. Sammy Khedira followed two minutes after half-time. Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris made it 3-0 with an own goal. Sergio Ramos scored to make it 4-0 in the 81st minute. Madrid have won 3 out of 3 in the CL this season scoring 8 on the way.

EPL NEWS:

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson hopes his injury problems are finally behind him.

QPR striker DJ Campbell faces up to two months out with a fractured metatarsal.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes Man City's late win over Villarreal will boost their confidence going into Sunday's derby match against Manchester United.

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is determined to secure more first-team football at Manchester United.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger intends to see out the remaining three years of his Arsenal contract.

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has signed a new 3 year contract leading him till the end of 2015. The defender has been plagued with injury since moving to Arsenal in 2009 and is a key player so it will be a relief for fans not to see him leave.
