EPL News and Previews of The Weekend's Games:




EPL News:

Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastien Bassong would be open to the possibility of a move to QPR in the January transfer window as he is not getting enough playing time.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez believes Liverpool can beat anyone and are capable of winning silverware this season.

Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou wants to be assured he will be given more game time before agreeing to a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney will be given the chance to play at the London 2012 Olympics if he misses out on Euro 2012 and will be alongside the likes of Phil Jones, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere who are all eligble.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic that he has always believed in fellow Chelsea team-mate Fernando Torres.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini says City will be targeting a win against Manchester United this Sunday.


Saturday's EPL Previews:

Aston Villa vs West Bromwich Albion: LIVE at 15:00pm

This meeting comes from Villa Park as Aston Villa host West Brom. These two teams both have won once in the past two meetings. Villa have Jermaine Jenas and Nathan Delfouneso both injured. Barry Bannan and James Collins are both available to play for Villa (after international duty break and foot and groin problems respectively). West Brom midfielder Zoltan Gera and Steven Reid are back in contention for a place in the starting line-up. Peter Odemwingie may start as a sub as Roy Hodgson feels he is not 100% fit. West Bromwich Albion are currently 12th in the table and may steal all 3 points tomorrow. They have 8 points from their last 5 games.

Bolton Wanderers vs Sunderland: LIVE at 15:00pm

This match comes from The Reebok Stadium as two of the bottom four go head to head to progess in the table. Sunderland have Phil Bardsley back from suspension and Nicklas Bendtner who was ineligble to lay against parent club Arsenal. Titus Bramble is still suspended pending police investigations, Craig Gordon and Fraizer Campbell are both working their way up to full fitness. Bolton with be expecting to win on home turf, with the likes of Ivan Klasnic and Kevin Davies. Their defence may be strong with Gary Cahill in the heart of defence. Sunderland however won both fixtures last season and their attack of Sebastien Larsson, Nicklas Bendtner and Connor Wickham. Their defence will be strong with two ex Manchester United central defenders with John O'Shea and Wes Brown.

Liverpool vs Norwich City: LIVE at 17:30pm

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva serves a one match suspension so Jordan Henderson may start for Liverpool. The Reds will be boosted as Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger are both fully fit overcoming injuries (hamstring and rib respectively). Steve Morison is available for Norwich after suffering cramp in last week's 3-1 win over Swansea. Elliot Ward and Daniel Ayala are both out for Norwich with knee injuries, Zak Whitebread's hamstring problem keeps him out and James Vaughan is not expected to challenge for a first team place until the start of 2012 at the earliest.
Luis Suarez has scored 5 goals in 8 matches for Liverpool this season and will be expecting to add to his tally tomorrow infront of the Kop. Liverpool will be disappointed with anything other than a win as they hopes of securing a Champions League place next season continue. Norwich will be hoping to make Liverpool struggle but would be happy for a draw at Anfield.

Newcastle United vs Wigan Athetic: LIVE from 15:00pm

At two differents ends of the EPL spectrum at St. James Park. Newcastle have been in great form so far this season and find themselves in 4th position. Wigan on the other hand have only won one out of their last 8 matches in the EPL and find themselves in 19th place. Demba Ba has been on fire for Newcastle scoring 5 goals this season and only find defender Mike Williamson on the sidelines. Alan Pardew has a virtually full squad to choose from. Striker Hugo Rodallega may return to first team action for Wigan as he came back from a knee injury. Newcastle will feel that they should win against a weakened Wigan side who are struggling and may be in the relegation battle come the end of the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Swansea City: LIVE from 12:45pm

This early Saturday kick-off will be the first EPL match of the week with two teams in the bottom half of the table. Wolves surprising have poor form going into this match losing 5 games in a row and Swansea have won 2 out of their last 5 games. Wolves will be without striker Stephen Fletcher who is still currently recovering from the calf injury that ruled him out of Wolves' last game. Ronald Zubar is not up to match fitness yet while Kevin Foley has an ankle problem.
